This exam consist of 55 questions with duration 90 minutes. The passing score for this examination is 63%.

The question format for this exam covers many types such as multiple choice single response, multiple choice multiple response, matching, hot spot, and drag and drop. The main topics covered in this exam are fundamentals of cloud architecture, HP converged infrastructure and cloud components, competitive positioning, planning and designing of solutions, solution management. HP provides various preparation tools including Instructor Led Training and self-paced study using text book. After completing this prerequisite, candidates can aim at the expert level HP ASE - Data Center and Cloud Architect V1 Certification.

To attain this certification, Professionals are requested to pass three core examination.

The first examination is the Architecting HP Data Center and Cloud Solutions (HP0-D26) exam. HP recommends minimum of two years hands-on experience with HP services in data centre and cloud management. This exam consist of 70 questions which are to be solved in 115 minutes. The passing score for this exam is 65%. The main topics that are covered in this exam are same as the prerequisite examination but in the deeper level. For this examination, HP provides training course in the name Designing HP Data Center and Cloud Solutions. Candidates can attend this course and prepare themselves for this exam.

The second core examination for this exam consist of two exams of which candidates are requested to complete any one. The first exam is the Implementing HP BladeSystem Solutions (HP0-S35) examination. This exam requires a passing score of 70% from 60 questions in a duration of 90 minutes. HP provides two training courses for this exam namely Implementing HP BladeSystem Solutions and Consolidated Blade Family Technical Training. The other exam that can be passed to complete the second requirement is HP BladeSystem Administration examination (HP2-T28). This exam consist of 55 questions which are to be solved in 90 minutes. Candidates require a passing score of 75% to clear this examination. To help the candidates, HP provides training through HP BladeSystem Administration which is a 3 day ILT course. This covers all the necessities needed for this examination.

The third requirement also consist of two exams of which candidates are requested to clear any one. The first examination in this category is HP BladeSystem Networking (HP0-S32) examination. This exam consist of 64 multiple choice questions which are to be solved in 90 minutes. The passing score for this examination is 75%. The training which HP recommends for this examination is HP BladeSystem Networking ILT. The duration for this training is 28 hours (4 days). The other exam one can attend to clear this requirement is BladeSystem Networking (HP0-S39) examination. This exam consists of 60 questions to be solved in 105 minutes. The questions are in various formats including multiple choice, matching, pull down list and drag and drop. The required passing score for this examination is 66%. The recommended training for this exam is HP BladeSystem Networking, Rev. 14.11 and the duration for the same is 24 hours.
