The Roadmap to prepare for HP AIS - Converged Infrastructure Integration [2011]

HP AIS - Converged Infrastructure Integration [2011] certification provides highly valued critical career skills to the candidates which helps them to sustain for many years, as the cloud based data center is the future for IT environments. The certified specialist will be able to integrate and install the complete components of Converged Infrastructure solution with storage, servers, networking and management software.

This certification is designed for the technical integration professionals who works with servers, networking and storage. To acquire this certification, register your details with The HP Learning center to get an HP Learner ID. This certification requires four prerequisites to pass the required exam. The details of the prerequisites are given below:

  • Prerequisite 1: Industry Standard Architecture and Technology (Exam Code HP2-T16)
  • Prerequisite 2: HP-ATP Converged Infrastructure Administrator
  • Prerequisite 3: Managing Windows and Linux Server Systems (Exam Code HP0-S31) or any other third party certifications like Red hat-RHCE, Novell-CLE, CLP, CLA, Linux-LPIC-1, LPIC-2 and Microsoft-MCITP, MCSE, MCSA.
  • Prerequisite 4: Complete any one of the following prerequisites. HP BladeSystem Networking (Exam HP0-S32) or BladeSystem Networking (Exam HP0-S39) or HP ASE Network Infrastructure or any other valued third party certifications.

The candidate should complete three core requirement exams to attain HP AIS - Converged Infrastructure Integration [2011] certification. For the core requirement 1 and 2, the candidate should complete any one of the available two exams. The details are given below:

Core Requirement 1: (Complete any one)

Implementing the HP Matrix Operating Environment (Exam HP0-D21): This exam is for 90 minutes with 60 multiple choice questions. The passing score is 55%. The main topics to be covered for this exam are HP converged Infrastructure and its benefits, Identifying the components of HP infrastructure Software solutions like SIM, Matrix OE and Insight Control, Installation and Usage of Insight Software with Matrix, Insight Advisor tools and troubleshooting tools, Configuration of IO, working of Infrastructure orchestration, Functions of Matrix OE and Insight Control Microsoft system, Working of HP insight Remote Support, Features and Implementation of Matrix OE.

Implementing HP Converged Infrastructure Solutions (Exam HP0-D09): This exam is for 105 minutes with 66 multiple choice questions and the passing score is 68%. The main topics to be covered are Architecture, Solutions and Products of HP Converged infrastructure, Plan and design, performance tuning and Optimization, troubleshooting and replacement procedures, performing daily task for a HP converged infrastructure solution.

Core Requirement 2: (Complete any one)

Implementing HP BladeSystem Solutions (Exam HP0-S27): This exam is for 90 minutes with 65 multiple choice questions and the required score is 73%. The main topics to be covered for this exam are Industry Standard Server Technologies in HP BladeSystem solutions, HP BladeSystem solutions and products, planning and designing, Installation and Configuration, performance tuning and Optimization, troubleshooting and repair, Management of HP BladeSystem Solutions, Administrative and upgrade tasks of HP BladeSystem and HP service or warranty offerings.

Implementing HP BladeSystem Solutions (Exam HP0-S35): This exam is for 90 minutes with 60 multiple choice questions and the pass score is 70%. The topics to be prepared for this exam are Fundamental Server technologies and architecture, HP server solutions, products and service offerings, Solution implementation, solution enhancements, solution troubleshooting and repair, and solution management.

Core Requirement 3:

Design and Implementation of HP Insight Control and HP SIM (Exam HP0-S30): This exam is for 90 minutes with 53 multiple choice and drag-and-drop questions and the required score is 75%. The topics to be covered are Architecture and technology fundamentals, planning and designing a deployable solution, Installation, configuration and setup, version control and deployment of software, Management of HP SIM, troubleshooting and tasks, tools and events.

For each exam recommended training is available in The Learning Center. Thorough review of course materials and hands-on experience with the HP products and solutions are sufficient to take the exam. HP AIS - Converged Infrastructure Integration [2011] certified specialist can also perform installation and tasks like Hardware and software configuration, OS, HP driver and software installation, management of Servers, Storage Solution and networking components and Infrastructure Orchestration.
