Associated exam

In order to achieve an ITIL Planning, Protection and Optimization certification, you are required to first undergo a five day training course based on ITIL Planning, Protection and Optimization services. Prerequisites

Candidates who are pursuing this course must have hold of ITIL foundation certificate in IT and service management and the same must be on hand during the examination. Knowledge of information security and management for an effective service to the organization, benefits and valued that may be gained through information security and management, supporting information security through PPO practices and designing strategy, structure and operations for security management.
4. Knowledge of availability and continuity management for an effective service to the organization, benefits and valued that may be gained through availability and continuity management, supporting availability management through PPO practices and designing strategy, structure and operations for continuity management.
5. Knowledge of demand management for an effective service to the organization, benefits and valued that may be gained through demand management, supporting demand management through PPO practices and designing strategy, structure and operations for demand management.
6. Planning, protection responsibilities and roles related to capacity and availability and utilizing them for the organization to support PPO services, technology implementations and considerations.

You will also be acquiring new skills through out this course. Skills set involving service management, planning responsibilities, challenges etc. will be acquired and practiced throughout the nature of this course. You will also be able to handle capacity and availability management operations and lead to development in corporate framework for governance.

At the end of the 5thday of training process, certification exam will take place. Only 8 numbers of questions will be asked with 5 marks for each question. 90 minutes time will be allotted to complete the test and 70% is the minimum you need to clear it.

Validity of the certification

ITIL Planning, Protection and Optimization certification will be valid for 3 years time. After this stipulated time, recertification will be required if you wish to keep on using your legalized status.
