EMC provides EMCIE certification track trough VNX Solutions for IT professionals to develop a profession on VNX software. This certification credits a professional's experience and capability in working with various modules of VNX and its management.

This certification track consists of three levels namely associate level, Specialist level and Expert level. The Associate level certification is the basic requirement for this track and like all other EMCIE certification, it is gained by clearing E10-001 ISM v2 Exam. The exam mainly deals with storage systems and their improvements, cloud computing and intelligent storage.

The main preparation tool for this exam is 'Information Storage and Management' 2nd Ed by John Wiley & Sons text book. Following the training provided by EMC with this textbook is sufficient to clear this certification.

The next certification in this track is the Specialist level certification. This certification is obtained by passing E20-390 VNX Solutions Specialist Exam for Implementation Engineers examination. This exam requires solving of 60 questions in 90 minutes. This exam measures one's ability to perform in VNX OE modules, FAST modules, VNX security and remote protection. This certification is obtained by passing E20-885 VNX Solutions Expert Exam for Implementation Engineers examination. This exam consists of 60 questions and the duration for it is 120 minutes. This exam measures the in depth skill and knowledge of the professional's expertise in VNX and its various modules. The main topics covered in this exam includes
